[GRASS5] [bug #2742] (grass) file names cut off on snapshot web page

this bug's URL: http://intevation.de/rt/webrt?serial_num=2742
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

On http://grass.itc.it/grass57/binary/linux/snapshot/ it says
   1. get the file
      grass-5.7.cvs-ARCH-DD_MM_YYYY.tar.gz
   2. get the installation script
      grass-5.7.cvs-ARCH-DD_MM_YYYY-install.sh

However, above it, the file names are cut off:
[ ] grass-5.7.cvs-i686-p..> 24-Nov-2004 22:54 9k
[ ] grass-5.7.cvs-i686-p..> 24-Nov-2004 22:54 7.4M
so one has to use extra sensory perception (ESP) and other clues to
tell them apart.
Or you might want to make the
      grass-5.7.cvs-ARCH-DD_MM_YYYY.tar.gz
      grass-5.7.cvs-ARCH-DD_MM_YYYY-install.sh
into links themselves.

Almost any browser should show you the complete link in a status bar (in
Mozilla and Konqueror this is at the bottom of the screen by default) or
similar when passing over the link with the cursor.
If you use lynx, then just type '=' when over the link and you will again see
the complete name under the heading 'Link that you currently have selected'. I
am sure that other text-based browsers have similar commands.

Yes but it's just not right. The user might be looking at hardcopy,
etc. etc. He might be giving a lecture or demonstration where one
cannot do those tricks. It will come back to bite you one day.

As posted in the RT:
Please tell me how to modify the Apache configuration to permit
for displaying longer filenames.

I have no problems to reconfigure it once I know *how* to do it.
