[GRASS5] [bug #2777] (grass) add "erase monitor" button

d.vect and most commands can start an X Windows "wish" window. On the
bottom are four buttons, run, help, clear, and close. Perhaps add a
fifth one "erase monitor", for convenience so we don't have to do
d.erase in another window, etc. when we want to erase the monitor.

Dan,

I don't know which version you are referring to. However, in GRASS 5.7,
there is an erase tool on the GIS Manager tool bar. This is better than
adding an erase button to many commands.

he refers to the GUI on the fly.
A change (easy to do, but desired?) had to go into
lib/gis/gui.tcl

(search 'Close' there)

Markus,

This is what I thought he was referring to. Hence my comments about the 5.7
GUI. Given that there is an always available button to erase the current
monitor to white--without having to bring up d.erase--it seems to me that
adding an erase button to many/all of the autogenerated dialogs is rather
redundant and unnecessary.
