Subject: d.m menu: v.convert has a bad description
v.convert's menu entry:
File -> Import -> Vector -> Import/Export old GRASS vector format
should be just "Import old GRASS vector format"
Export functionality was never written. (use v.out.ascii -o format=standard)
along the same lines:
File -> Export -> Vector -> Import/Export old GRASS vector format
should be removed.
and:
File -> Export -> Vector -> ASCII points file from GRASS sites file
should be removed (s.out.ascii not built by default and is only there for
debugging purposes)
same with:
File -> Import -> Vector -> ASCII points file to GRASS sites format
and:
File -> Export -> Vector -> GRASS vector file
might be renamed as-
"ASCII file or GRASS ASCII-vector format or old GRASS ASCII-vector format"
... but hopefully something more concise than that.
v.out.ascii exports:
- '|' delimeted ascii text file
- GRASS ASCII-format files
- old GRASS ASCII-format files for import into 5.0/5.4 etc.
It's a pity to hide all that functionality. Maybe make three menu items with
options pre-programmed?
