Subject: v.patch does not create a .dbf-file
Platform: GNU/Linux/i386
grass obtained from: Trento Italy site
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources
GRASS Version: grass-6.0.cvs_src_snapshot_2005_01_29
The module v.patch does not create a .dbf-file; a file dbln in a directory /vector/map empty.
It occurs at: v.patch input=input output=output; v.patch-a input=input output=output.
Probably this problem has been described 2 months ago in BugReport ¹2816.

V.path only combines vectors and their cat fields. Associated data tables
are not concatenated. I've done a script (v.append) that will patch 2
vectors AND concatenate their data tables. It's a bit rough, but seems to
work pretty well.
It is on my website in the script exchange/vector area
<http://www.public.asu.edu/~cmbarton/grass.htm>
I'm going to try to get this and a few other scripts there into the WIKI
soon.
