[GRASS5] i.composite

Ok guys, I'm back,
I am using grass to do some pretty massive image processing(tiling about
10gigs of data) and I _think_ I have found a problem with i.composite.

When running I composite on an image group comprised of 3 files:
-rw-r--r-- 1 matt users 43612805 Apr 17 11:13 4117se1.1
-rw-r--r-- 1 matt users 43612805 Apr 17 11:14 4117se1.2
-rw-r--r-- 1 matt users 43612805 Apr 17 11:16 4117se1.3

yeilding 1 file:
-rw-r--r-- 1 matt users 130749485 Apr 17 12:14 4117se1grey

Which seems fine except that after the above file, and its support files
are done (that is not growing on the harddisk) I am left with a
processes that is consumeing

                                             CPU MEM TIME
11281 matt 18 0 9444 9444 840 R 93.6 2.9 74:59 i.composite
please note how long it has been running ---------------^

Is it doing something that I should know about? I have let one run and it
has gone all night and not exited.

d.rgb seem to produce the same output in 3-4 minutes on this
machine.

Machine is PII 300 320MB 150MSwap Suse 7.1

When I do a ctrl-c on i.composite the result appears correct.

Ideas?
Matt

I can confirm your experience, though I don't have a solution. Me
thinks a bug in i.composite gets it stuck in an unending loop.
