I just committed a set of updates to the thematic mapper, d.vect.thematic, and posted it on my website.
http://www.public.asu.edu/~cmbarton/files/grass_scripts/display/thematic.tgz
There are several new options.
-
You can update the GRASSRGB column of a vector file with the thematic colors. Thanks to Jachym Cepicky for this new feature.
-
You can now have a graphic legend (with either graduated colors or graduated icons) drawn to the display monitor of your choice. Thanks to Hamish for updating d.graph to make this possible. Note: this only work correctly for graduated colors with the new version of d.graph that Hamish Bowman just committed to the CVS.
-
You can create a custom color gradient by specifying start and end colors as r:g:b triplets. Thanks to Markus for help with this.
-
The table connected to a vector map is automatically recognized, regardless of its name. Thanks to Martin Landa for this.
Enjoy mapping!
