[GRASS5] Locating a specific source file in the CVS repository

  I tried the html interface to the CVS repository in an attempt to find the
latest source David uploaded for v.in.mif. But, I could not find it. I
looked in grass/src and some of the contrib directories, but no luck.

  Where can I get it?

Thanks,

Rich

The source code is found under src/mapdev/v.in.mif

It's a strange name for the vector modules, but I think it will change
in the new directory structure planned for 5.1.

  I never would have made the connection. I thought that mapdev/ contained
the plotting modules.

Thank you,

$ cd grass
$ find . -name 'v.in.mif' -print

I've found myself doing something similar on many occasions...

Sometimes you need a grep in there too...

Hi Rich,

due to the wish of CERL (historical reasons) this name was kept. Otherwise I
would have renamed it to vector/ some years ago :slight_smile:

We'll change that for 5.1.

  Thank you. I was only pointing out that my rummaging in directories did
not include mapdev/ because it never suggested "vector" to me.

Rich,

just on a side note,
your last bug reports were all very helpful to help us improve the situation.
So please keep on testing and reporting. :slight_smile:

Best,
