Hello Markus, and Bernhard
I just did a fresh cvs checkout and the man/ directory and several of
it's subdirectories were created. If I remove the man/ directory and do
a "cvs update man" it doesn't come back. Any ideas what is going on?

Hi Bernhard and Justin,
a fresh cvs does *not* contain /man here (on my linux box).
I have
Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.10.7 (client/server)
Maybe some SGI specific bug in cvs? Even on Solaris is doesn't appear (I am
using there: Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.9 (client/server)).
Sorry, no idea,
Markus

Sorry, no idea,
Use "cvs update -dP" or "cvs checkout -P".
A fresh normal cvs checkout will get those empty directories, but the
"-P" option should remove any directories that don't have any files.

Thanks Eric! That solves the problem.
