I am not able to install GRASS 6.0.1 on my PC which
runs on windows XP. While installing through cygwin a
file called desktop.ini couldnt install. Please find a
solution for this. Thanks in advance

try to follow great step by step tutorial on http://geni.ath.cx/grass.html
as far as I know, there is no file called desktop.ini, in the
installation process
