[GRASS5] NVIZ Cutting planes

Dear list,

I am trying to use the cutting-plane panel from nviz to create
block-pictures. It works like it should especially the color-settings.
Regarding to the manual the color can be chosen between top, bottom,
blending, grey, no color.

Grey and no color does work as it should, but the other parts (which
are interesting for me) do not work...
The planes still keep black, example here [1].

Is there any mystery I need to know to make the color-options work?

Thanks for any enlightments...

Best

Hi Stephan,

I think the color is drawn on only one side of the cutting plane. Try using the rotate option to spin the cutting plane around, and the colors should appear.

Not a perfect solution, but give it a try.

Cool! This works. Indeed, not an ideal solutions. Are there plans to
make this more intuitive (e.g. make both sides of the cutting plane
colored)?

Let's document this in the help-page of nviz's cutting plane section.

Thanks so far for the pointer.
