[GRASS5] ps.map and -fwritable-strings

Hi,

I wanted to fix writable-strings in ps.map. I walked through source
and found 8 pointers to string constants but program never writes into
these strings.

Does anybody know where writable-strings should be, how was discovered
that problem is in writable-strings, how to simulate problems or why should be
problem on Linux only?

Hi Radim,

this was reported for Linux only since years. If the flag was missing,
no vector support would be there... (I never tried myself, just
collected reports).

This is all I know. It seems to be still existing as I built beta4 (or so)
without this flag set and had to re-publish the linux binaries with
ps.map properly compiled after receiving complaints.

Hi all,

as Eric reported that the ps.map Vector-problems seems to
be fixed/non-existing, I will remove all these bugs reports
and also the hint in
src/CMD/generic/POST_INSTALL.sh

Hope this is o.k. with everybody!
