Hi,
I've just added a range command to the ps.map colortable instruction.
Only implemented for floating point rasters so far, but should make it
easier to fine tune legends with colormaps which go beyond the actual
range of the data in the map (eg for a time series). d.legend has had
this for a while.
You used to have to use the colortable->raster command to set the legend
based on a third party map which had the range & colors you needed.
still a small (historic) bug in there where if you set the range to e.g.
0,3 it will not draw a tick mark for 3, only up to 2.5. But if you make
the range 0,3.00000001 you get a nice tick at 3. Does not happen for all
range settings (e.g. -10,3 gives you a tick at 3).
