I try some test on the Spearfish dataset with GRASS 6.1. Is it possible, that
r.flow does not support NULL values at least for "barin" raster? I get the
right output only with maps with "0" values..

I believe that the barin raster accepts only 1/0 values. It defines flow barriers.
But it makes sense to use 1/null values as well, where 1 is a barrier and null is not a barrier. Clearly, it needs some update to accept both or put this information in the manual page.
