[GRASS5] r.in.png & libpng.so.2 in GRASS 5.0.3

Hallo,
I'm using GRASS 5.0.3, binary distribution from
http://bouteloua.erin.utoronto.ca/~smitch/ and it run's well,
until I have tryed the r.in.png modul.

GRASS told me, that he can't find file libpng.so.2.

That is allright, I have libpng.so.3 in my computer. I made the symbolic
link to it
(cd /usr/lib; ln -s libpng.so libpng.so.2)
and everything run's OK, BUT,

wouldn't it be better, to make GRASS search direct for libpng.so, that
libpng.so.X ??
