Dear developers,
i would like to inform you and to hear your opinions about a roadmap i made,
about changes on grass which i want to make in the next months,
because there is a discussion of releasing a new beta.
Roadmap:
Modules i want to modify:
r3.info
- adding the history output flag -> same functionality like r.info [next
month]
r3.to.rast:
- adding the option to create the resulting 2d maps with the same "2d map
region" as the source
3d map, independently from the current region [next month]
r.to.rast3:
- adding the option to create the resulting 3d map with the same "2d map
region" as the source
2d maps, independently from the current region [next month]
r3.out.vtk
- adding support for tensoric data (symmetric tensors of second order) [in
two months]
- adding support for elevation slices between the top and bottom surface
for point AND
cell data (this may take a while to implement) [in three to four months]
r.out.vtk
- adding support for vector and tensoric data [in two months]
v.out.vtk
- implementing database connection [in three months]
- adding support for scalar, vector and tensoric cell/point data (db
columns) [in three months]
- adding support for combined features (point + line + area + face) [in
four months]
Changes of the g3d lib:
- get rid of a strange tiling pointer bug [in three months]
- removing some memory leaks and errors detected with valgrind [in three
months]
