thanks for all your updates. The new r.in.bin and r.out.bin
are in CVS now.

I have also attached an updated code for r.in.bin2 (main.c). I had
missed a couple of byte swapping sections for the GMT header. Just to be
difficult the header is 4 bytes smaller on a small endian machine.
