I just compiled and installed Grass 5 beta 10 and it is still giving me
problems in selecting monitors. A rundown:First I tried opening a monitor from the windowing system. That opened
a window for the monitor but then locked up and I could do no more from
the windowing system.Next I tried
d.mon start=x0
from the command prompt, which had the same problems, but I could get a
prompt back by pressing Ctrl-CNext I tried
d.mon -s start=x0
which was successful
d.mon select=x0
which wasn't.I am running Suse 6.3 Linux with kernel 2.3.41, glibc-2.1 and
XFree86-3.3.5 .Any explanation appreciated.
It is comforting to not be alone!! This is the same behavior that I am experiencing.
So, I think that it maybe a waste of time for me to reinstall my system again.
Any ideas?
