This causes trouble when you want to go back to using 5.4 after you have
been using 6.0, but is easily fixed. Hopefully one day there will be a
5.4.1 release which ignores the new 3D settings and issues an error or
warning when a raster map with 3D data is accessed.
Today I have committed a fix to the 5.4 CVS which should hopefully work around this. (Check out with "cvs -z3 co -r releasebranch_5_4")
For now it ignores any unexpected key/value pairs found in the cellhd or region file. I could probably change it to add a warning when some of the new 3-D keys are found. If the region settings are changed in 5.4 it will overwrite the WIND file, stripping out the 3-D values. But as long as DEFAULT_WIND isn't changed, this could be restored by "g.region -d" when running 6.x again. Do 3-D rasters exist yet or do the 3-D keys only
occur in the region definition (i.e. WIND file) for now?
