Sorry, I came late to this discussion, but how many are there? I have had little trouble building on OS X Tiger (which uses gcc 4.0).

Sorry Kirk. I wasn't paying attention to this thread either, but now I just tried 6.0.0 (I've been so focused on using the weekly CVS snapshots) on Tiger - I'm getting the same numerical.h error. Are you sure you're looking at the 6.0.0 release? I have no problems with CVS on Tiger.

You're right William. I have been building the 6.1 cvs, not 6.0.0. That would explain it.

I have been noting them and discussing fixes with authors. Other than
the few changes I have brought up, it should compile cleanly.
I have already fixed lib/image (which still needs further work with
proper casting and endian issues) and am waiting on a module or two I
have noted.
I would like to see these changes made. GCC-4 is less forgiving,
resulting in better code.

I misread the message and assumed CVS, not 6.0. If the next official
release of GRASS is a ways off, then it should probably be done.
