Hi Markus
I was just thinking about releasing beta 11 and I was wondering if we
need to temporarily back anything off the CVS tree. Should we check
through the log and see what was added to determine if anything should
be backed out? In particular, I was thinking of the new compression
algorithm code. Just a thought.
Hi Justin,
maybe yes. The compression algorithm is the only major thing currently
in CVS. If releasing beta11 these days, we should bother the users
with this as well. Better we "calm down the waves" not to loose all
our friends.
Eric, would that be o.k. with you?

Fine with me. Just need to uncomment the USE_LZW_COMPRESSION define at
the top of libes/g3d/fpcompress.c, libes/gis/put_row.c and
libes/gis/get_row.c. If you want to do that, then tag the version and
then revert it, that'd be great.

just now I have reverted back to LZW compression for the beta11
release. Justin is continuing to test his new interim make system
(I volunteer to test ). If checked in, we should go for beta11.
As we have another "make clean" victim, I might remove the source10
immediately from the server? Do the others agree?

I agree. Or put a huge warning in the filename.
