as a missing dig_cats/ entry currently leads to file
crashes, I have slightly modified (fixed):
www.geog.uni-hannover.de/users/neteler/tmp/tom/wdb2_unep_global_location.tar.gz
Thanks to David Gray for the hint how to fix the dataset,
