[GRASS5] s.to.rast question

Does the s.to.rast write a temporary file somewhere to check on the progress?? I am working with a large file and am wondering if it is still running properly or not. I let it run overnight last night, and came into find it still running, and started again this morning about 0900 and it continues to run at this time (1110).

Yes, it writes a temp file, and after that copy it to the real raster file.
since it uses G_tempname(), you should find it at the habitual location.
