Hi all,
currently there is no proper support for hostnames,
user names and passwords in SQL support. It would
be useful to have it
- associated to the location (currently something is stored
in .grassrc5)
- keep it as a secret
Maybe I have found something useful at
src/libes/dbmi/drivers/sqlbase > more README
Unix env:
$SQLBASE: set to the /SQLBASE directory
$SQLBASE_SERVER: set to a server name (otherwise get local databases )
PASSWORDS: (also read file PASSWORDS)
$HOME/.sqlbase/db.passwd: password file for databases
dbname//passwd
dbname/username/passwd
$HOME/.sqlbase/server.passwd: password file for servers
server/passwd
This is related to "sqlbase driver" but might be an idea for a GRASS
implementation.
