[GRASS5] V.digit updates

Following up on suggestions by Hamish, I’ve updated the iconography for v.digit. I’ve made buttons match the icons with the same functions in the GIS Manager and updated the icons on several other buttons to make them match their functions better. I think this makes v.digit easier to use.

I’m attaching the very small tar.gzip file for others to look over before I commit these changes. If you want to do so, just expand the v.digit folder and copy it to $GISBASE/etc (keeping a backup copy of your original v.digit folder first, of course).

I’ve also updated the v.digit button in the GIS manager (again a suggestion of Hamish) so that it will automatically create a background of all currently displayed maps in the active monitor. The v.digit module works as usual, of course, and the user can deselect any of the background background maps in the settings window. I’ll commit this change next week.

One improvement to v.digit that would be nice is to make the settings window open to an appropriate dimension (i.e., wide enough to see the tabs and symbology color). I suppose that the window geometry should be set in settings.tcl, but I can’t find where. Perhaps someone else can fix this.

Cheers,
Michael
