[GRASSLIST:10078] Import of Indian Satellite data

Hi,
GRASS has problems importing

  1. Insat (indian satellite) data…
    So GRDSS a code similar to grass with Insat capability was presented
    at Bankok Grass Users Workshop.
  2. Now Data of Cartosat launched by india is available.
    GRASS cannot open that too.

One solution I presume will be to give an option for
Generic Input of Details of Header and Footer and Number of columns Rows, Offsets etc etc…

Will it be asking too much…

Ravi,

since most of the import business is done via GDAL, it may be
appropriate to ask on
the GDAL list.
