[GRASSLIST:10178] GPS and accuracy

Not directly grass related, but I hope that somebody here can help me.

I am taking part in writing an article in which some of the data is
based on GPS-tracking. We need to describe the uncertainty in the
gps-positions. I found e.g.
http://www.wsrcc.com/wolfgang/gps/accuracy.html, but would like to have
a reference to something similar in peer reviewed journal. Anybody who
has a pointer?

(the mapping in the article is done in grass, I'll post a pointer when
it's out)

Not sure if it helps, but the FAA has specs on the system. Don't have
the URL handy, now.

There is GPS World: http://www.gpsworld.com/gpsworld/

On a side note, it wouldn`t be too hard to figure those figures (pun
intended) on your area, since those are time and position dependent. A
bit off-topic, maybe, but not too hard.
