[GRASSLIST:10266] How to rename layers?

Hi there,

I’m sorry to ask you such an ovbious thing, but i’m new to grass and couldn’t find the answer in the docs. How is it possible to rename the layers using the GUI in grass60? I want to rename the visible names of the layers in the layer manager, and not the file. I’m getting confused of “vector n”, “raster n” layernames!

Hi,

just double-click on the name and type an intuitive one.

use g.rename

File->Manage Maps and Volume->Rename..
