I have a location with the following PROJ_INFO file:
name: Lat/Lon
datum: nad83
nadgrids: FL
proj: ll
ellps: grs80
However, when I call g.proj, it yields the following:
GRASS 6.1.cvs (manatee):~/grass/manatee/PERMANENT > g.proj -p
XY location (unprojected)
What needs to be done to persuade g.proj to return the correct information?

How old is your Grass 6.1 CVS instalation?
There've been some fixes to g.proj recently

You might need to update.
