I am new to grass , and i am trying to use labels( to mark city names
etc etc) in grass , what i want is that
there should be seperate label file for each map and when i see that
map those labels also
come (either automatically or i select the right labelfile) , can
someone tell me
how do i go about doing this ....

I think you could use p.labels or d.labels to create the files for your
labels, and d.paint.labels to display the labels on the screen. You can
use the same labels files with ps.map to get printed copy; ps.map also
allows more choices for fonts and alignment.
