[GRASSLIST:291] Extracting roads from a sat image (ECW)

Hi guys!
Anyone has ever try a procedure to extract roads from a sat image (ECW
imported, in my problem)? I am doing some test with r.mapcalc and RGB with if
condition...any other ideas?
