I would to work with MrSID images for UTM zone 30
On the Web I have seen both GRS80 and WGS84 ellipsoids as used by this images outside USA. As I understand, these ellipsoids are similar but somewhat differents. So I wonder about the rigth settings for a MrSID location.
Can you give me a precise indication about the rigth ellipsoid

GRS80 and WGS84 are almost identical
in the GIS applications the difference has no practical meaning AFAIK
from the usr\local\grass5\etc\ellipse.table:
grs80 "Geodetic Reference System 1980" a=6378137.000 f=1/298.257222101
wgs84 "World Geodetic System 1984" a=6378137.000 f=1/298.257223563
