Hi,
While connecting a table created in Postgresql to a vector map in GRASS the errors are :
- Can not connect to Postgres: FATAL: Database "$computer/geodata/geodata/pg/ does not exist
- can not open databse " " by driver ‘pg’
- The table does not exist in databse < $computer/geodata/geodata/pg/
While creating table in v.digit after setting pg as driver
- can not open databse $GISDBASE/$LOCATION_NAME/$MAPSET/pg by driver
pgDBMI-postgres driver
This is already noted in a GRASS mirror webpage at Bangalore, India
http://wgbis.ces.iisc.ernet.in/grass/welcome.html, and in the attachment.
NOTE: There is a driver shipped from PostgreSQL distribution called libpsqlodbc.so (rather than libodbcpsql.so coming with unixodbc). It seems that postgresql-odbc package is not working and only usr/lib/libodbcpsql.so from unixODBC is working properly. (See psqlODBC home page: http://odbc.postgresql.org/psqlodbc.php?DocID=faq-general)
