[GRASSLIST:4747] problems with tcl/tk interface

Hi,

I'm using Grass 53 on a G4 Powerbook. Out of the blue I'm getting a problem when I start the software. The tool bar does not appear, yet the r.in.tiff programme window does open, which I haven't used for some time (certainly not the last time I used Grass!).

The command tcltkgrass& has no effect. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Lawrence

Try deleting or renaming the ~/.tcltkgrass file, if it exists.

Lawrence,

My first guess is that you have saved the configuration of tcltkgrass with
the menu minimized or quit, and the r.in.tiff dialog open. This
configuration is saved in the file ~/.tcltkgrass. Try renaming this file to
something else (e.g., old.tcltkgrass) and restarting tcltkgrass in GRASS.
This will recreate ~/.tcltkgrass. When you have the menus like you want
them, quit tcltkgrass making sure to save the configuration. Then restart
tcltkgrass (tcltkgrass &) and see if this fixes the problem.
