New GRASS GIS COMPLETE for OSX is ready. Download free at:

It required: OS X 10.2.8 or later and X11 installed
It includes: new Grass Libraries, grass 5.4.0 app built with shared lib (thanks to Paul Kelly), grass 5.7.0 app and demo data.
File size
95.5 MB (down from 160 MB of last version, grass 5.4.0 is much smaller). In separate packages you can see grass540 file size: only 14.7 MB
Features
Grass54 and Grass57 are two applications. They work anywhere in your hard disk. I install them in /Application/Grass folder but you can move anywhere. You can run grass from app or from terminal (read the doc inside). These apps require only Grass libraries installed. The libraries are very big and can be used for other package like MapServer
Future product: GRASS GIS CVS (file size under 30 MB)
Features: it contains only 2 apps, grass54cvs and grass57cvs and it requires GRASS GIS COMPLETE.

Why not TCLTK AQUA?
I have an aqua version with Menu up like a true Mac application but … it requires always X11 terminal and the the jump from Wish (tcltk aqua app) and X11 is annoying and slow.
What are the advantages?
Menu up like Mac, chooser dialog for file like a Mac app
… and cons?
Aqua version is slower than X11 version, X11 is always need for NVIZ and for commands. The jump from Aqua and X11 is annoying. X11 version is faster and now with new menu (GIS Manager for 5.7cvs from Michael Barton) is very easy to work with X11.
