[GRASSLIST:5401] RE: labels and contours

Miguel -

I have had the same problem- I could never get a decent looking contour
map out of GRASS --

I have found that a the combination of GRASS and GMT produces very nice
looking maps in PS format. I suppose if one were savvy enough with ps.map
they could do the same, but I have never been able to make ps.map work
quite right...

here is an example of a labeled contour map;

let me know if you are interested in the code that did this.

Cheers,

Dylan

Does anyone have a map from Mexico that can send me??,
that be georeferenciated. Thanks.

lines, this to can saves as a gif, or bmp image. How

browse down to the "Countries vector map" link.

Long time ago Justin Hickey wrote an improved r.contour:
http://grass.itc.it/outgoing/
-> r.contour2.tar.gz

Maybe worth looking at it (not updated to 6.0, though).
