[GRASSLIST:5496] suse 9.1 - rpm on suse 9.2

hi grass-friends,

suse 9.2 is running on my computer. is it possible to run the grass6.0beta suse 9.1 - rpm on this machine? i saw that gdal 1.2.5 asks for libjasper 1.700, but on suse 9.2 there is version 1.701. and this could be a problem.

Hallo!

I have a suse 9.2 with this libjasper 1.701 library and grass 6.0 works well.

If that's the only dependency problem you have when installing gdal, just add the "--nodeps" option to your rpm command and it'll work fine with the newer libjasper.
