i want to install grass on windows 2003 server. can anybody help me how to
install step by step.

instructions for installing GRASS 5.4 are at:

GRASS on Windows mailing list:

Note that GRASS is much better tested on Mac OSX and UNIX/Linux.
Not many (if any) of the developers use Windows.
