[GRASSLIST:5611] Re: import IDRISI raster

Hi,
I have done first exporting it from idrisi as GRASS format with the option ASCII.

And then importing into grass this file with r.in.ascii

Hope this helps

Marta

Hello,

I have IDRISI raster files (rst, rdc) and would like to import them into
GRASS. I already found a post from 1996 concerning r.out.idrisi/r.in.idrisi.

If this command was once created I assume it has been merged into r.in.gdal.
However the gdal raster format page does not list the IDRISI raster format.

Does anybody knows a work-around to import IDRISI raster formats into GRASS?

thanks, Martin

Hi Marta,

thanks for your advice, I will do it the way you proposed if I can't find a
way to import IDRISI files directly.
I hoped that I could do it directly using a GRASS command (writing a script
for all files) due to the large number of raster files.

cheers Martin

Hallo,
what about exporting GRASS rastr from Idrisi? I have no experience with this,
but Idrisi (Kilimanjaro) seems, that it can do this.
