We would be very interested in hearing from other users who have used the GRASS system for geological mapping. Either field mapping, production/publication maps, compilation work or interpretation/analysis.
While I'm preparing for a conference in May 03 it would help to find out success stories and bad experiences. Please contact me directly or on the list.
Our interests are largely mineral exploration, but we do some work with environmental and engineering geophysics. As a geologist among geophysicists I also work at integrating geological and geochemical data into the compilation. We have been building a wish list of what we would like to be able to do with GRASS in terms of geological data processing. What are other users putting on their geological wish lists? What modules are missing that could make GRASS practical or more streamlined for geological applications? Responding with wish list items will help us develop support for their development.
