[GRASSLIST:600] GRASS in Iceland-location settings

Hello everybody,

I am a beginner in Grass from Iceland.
I have intalled Grass successfully on a Win2000 platform.
I have managed to use the SPEARFISH datas,
Now, i try to import shp files in a new location but it fails, i can´t visualize the vector map in my monitor.

1- I think the problem may come from the location setting.
Here are the information i have about the coordinate system :

Lambert Conformal Conic :

Longitude of origin : -19:00:00,000 d:m:s

Latitude of origin : 65:00:00,000 d:m:s

Standard parallel 1 : 64:15:00,000 d:m:s

Standard parallel 2 : 65:45:00,000 d:m:s

False X : 500000 m

False Y : 500000 m

Geodetic datum : WGS84

Coordinate system name : Isnet93

2-The files are *.shp

Could anyone give me the steps to create my location ?

did you run:

v.support VectorFileHere
g.region vect=VectorFileHere
d.vect VectorFileHere
?

v.support builds the topology, g.region sets the current view/zoom to
the extent of the bounds of the new vector file.
