I want to change <icon=basic/cross> in d.vect .
What are the alternatives for example square ?

ls $GISBASE/etc/symbol/*

from within GRASS will list the available alternatives.

basic:
airport arrow2 circle cross1 diamond octagon pushpin target
arrow1 box compass cross2 marker point star x
