Hello,
Does anybody know a quick way to import a SPOT image distributed on cd-rom in CAP format (with 5 .DAT files).
I had no succes using either i.tape.spot or i.tape.other.
Thanks for the tips or pointers you could give me,
Guillaume Criloux.

You may try r.in.gdal which may read it.

Hi,
Thanks for the answers...
After writing the message, i gave a try to r.in.gdal and it worked fine.
I thought gdal was a file format that i didn't know, before understanding what it really was. And i never heard of CEOS before, since SPOT IMAGE calls it the "CAP Format".
Anyway, with libgdal 1.1.8 (and maybe with previous ones), it worked perfectly.
Guillaume.
