[GRASSLIST:6363] False colour image

Hi All,
1. Using Grass61, I have imported a jpeg image.
2. The image is split to RGB, 3 raster files
3. I tried to make a false colour composite, using all
the three rasters in GRASS61, but the image is still
in monochrome.

WHY..

Can Grass use raw satellite image files?

I suppose, you need: r.rgb r=redmap g=greenmap b=bluemap out=map
