[GRASSLIST:6468] ps.map output resolution

Hi,

I was searching for, if possible, a way to increase ps.map output resolution.
Do someone knows if this is possible (and how)?

Thanks, Michele.

Do you mean for raster maps? It just uses the region's resolution:

g.region res=

Otherwise everything is scaled at 72dpi, but as PostScript is vector
based, making it 300dpi wouldn't cause any change.

PostScript files don't have a resolution.

When rendered directly to screen or on a printer, they will be
rendered at the device's resolution.

If you convert them to raster images (with e.g. GIMP or ImageMagick),
they will be rendered at a specific resolution. The resolution is
normally user-configurable, although the default is often quite low
(typically 75dpi). How to specify the resolution depends upon the
program.
