[GRASSLIST:7837] raster conversion problem

Dear,
a long time ago...(> 10 years) I was an intensive GRASS user.
Unhappily, I have now no access to an unix/linux machine with GRASS.

I want now to convert the two attached GRASS (4.2) packed binary integer raster files to ascii grids. Could somebody help me? Or is there somewhere a tool to do this in windows?

best regards

I'll email you the converted files.

GRASS can be run on Windows using Cygwin, although it's a bit more
awkward to set up (mostly because you have to get your Cygwin
environment set up right).

Try the grasslivecd working on windows:
https://www.geographie.uni-freiburg.de/~mlechner/xlivegrass/
all module working good and no time consuming in installing...

it could result a bit slow...
so take a look at
http://www.dirap.unipa.it/~scianna/grass_gis_6-0-0.htm
for some tips on how run it in a faster way... (Using GRASS GIS 6.0 under Windows XP)

hope this can help.
