[GRASSLIST:8157] lon/lat to utm ?

hello

my map region is in lon/lat projection.
how can I get utm values of this region ?

Ahmet, use v.in.region to create a box in your latlong location of your current region. Open up a utm location, and v.proj in that box. Then use v.info for information about the box that you just projected.

There may be an easier solution, but this one will work at least.

or you can just use proj directly on the corners, something like this:

echo -122.5 47.0 | proj +proj=utm +zone=10
