[GRASSLIST:8234] i.rectify taking a looooon time

Hello all,

How long should it take i.rectify to rectify an image? the image in question
is of an area approximately 13 by 9 km with a resolution of about 2m.

its been 20 minutes already. Using an old 900Mz AMD Duron.

Keep waiting, it can take some time.. newer versions of i.rectify run in
the foreground and report percentage complete.

...and now I have to sit and waste my time until the job is finished!
a background-job, as the older versions have, would be a nice idea,
since one could utilise the time to prepare the next image.
Escpecially, this is a drawback for i.ortho.photo in grass6,
since it could be used solely interactively!

If you want to background it yourself just hit Ctrl-z then type 'bg' at
the prompt. Redirect stderr to /dev/null if you don't want to see the
percentage done status messages.

I think "we'll email you when it is done" is a lot weirder.
