[GRASSLIST:898] displaying two adjacent raster maps

Hello,

Having two adjacent aerial photographs imported in grass, it's quite
annoying that I can't display them both, because when displaying a
photograph, al space around it is filled with white, covering the other
photo. Is there a way to make the white transparant, or to cut only the
photo part out of the apparently larger map?
(grass 5.0.2)

Thanks,

Wouter

What are you using to display the maps? Both d.rast an d.rgb have a
flag (-o) to disable filling of null cells.

Dear GRASS users

I'm a beginer of GRASS.

I'd like to display text near site data.
Text is related to site data.

I'd like to display text like that.
http://ryuiki.agbi.tsukuba.ac.jp/~forest/debrisflow.PNG
(I added point and text by using other paint software on GRASS raster map)

In short, What I'd like to know is
* What command should I use to display text naer site data?

Please give me your suggestion.
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely yours.

d.site.labels

See the s.in.ascii help page & links for information on adding labels to
site data.
