[GRASSLIST:9126] grass.itc.it

I've been getting a timed out link for a day and a half at the grass.itc.it site. Is the system undergoing maintenance or something?

I've contacted my Internet provider and it seems that someone between Canada and Italy has their DNS improperly configured.

Thanks for checking. Sorry to bother with this, but I needed to know if the problem was with my provider.

Not just you, not just your provider. With a browser set directly to
internet, http://grass.itc.it/index.php loads cleanly for me, but through
a proxy does not, and times out with the same symptoms you see. So
something did change outgoing from itc.it about two days ago.

Trying from a different location in Norway, no luck even with direct
connection to internet either. So something is very odd at the moment.

Everything works fine from Brasil.

hi,

last 3 (?) days I wasn table to open grass.itc.it from Latvian
Academic Network. Today from other ISP page seems to be just
slooooooow. Monday I will check again from academic network where I
got timeouts. Must admit, that both ISPs have good international
links.

wbr,
Maris.

Now it is working, when I ran tracepath yesterday the system seemed to get caught in some
weird loop at an Italian internet provider. Some sort of endless loop between two machines there.

I found I could access via an internet proxy though. My guess is the provider in question
had their routing messed up.

I wonder if other people have had their access problems resolved too.

Seems to be resolved through the proxy, yes.

I am not aware of any changes here, the server is/was untouched.

In any case consider to put me in CC, to get notified
immediately ... I didn't receive mails from Baylor for a couple
of days (maybe due to the same problem). Since today messages
arrive again from this list.

Markus,

I haven't got any problems accessing grass.itc.it ever. But I've had
problems with grasslist recently - at 17:00 (Poland) Wed 16.11.2005 I
couldn't post to grasslist being rejected for "Only list subscribers may
send messages to this list." while being subscribed AAMOF. Tried several
times after to noavail and finally re-subscribed which fixed the
problem. Thought you might like to know as you mentioned your grasslist
issue.

Here's the header of my rejected message if it helps to explain
anything:
