Hi,
in GRASS6.1
a vector file created in XY location cannot be RE-projected to a PROJECTED LOCATION
but however
- a raster can be georeferrenced to any projected location.
So, If by oversight, you painstakingly vectorise a scanned raster in XY, and then project it to a location, you will discover the mistake, too late… The resultant vector cannot be projected.
Instead
Project a raster image into lat long/ any other projection, and then do all the vector conversion, you are in the right track.
- If the deductions above are correct… Will the developers look into, and create a method where XY vectors can be projected.
ThanQ in anticipation!
